Members of the Bar Human Rights Committee and their guests are warmly invited to RSVP now for the upcoming BHRC Summer Social, which will take place on Thursday 25 July at Doughty Street Chambers (from 18:00). The event will open with a panel discussion with a special focus on our trial observation work, stories from the field and how to get involved, welcoming: Jodie Blackstock, Barrister at Garden Court Chambers; Natasha Jackson, Barrister at Landmark Chambers; James Onalaja, Barrister at 187 Chambers; and Zimran Samuel MBE, Barrister at Doughty Street Chambers who recently completed a trial observation mission to Guantanamo Bay on behalf of BHRC, which in 2019 became the only UK-based organisation to be granted official observer status for the ongoing trials in the Military Commissions.
