This event took place on 20 October 2020 at 6pm via Zoom. This event was an opportunity for members of the bar and law students who are interested in developing a practice or working in international human rights law to hear directly from practitioners working in this area. BHRC was delighted to welcome a range of experienced barristers, each of whom have built a practice in international human rights law in different ways. Each speaker discussed their career journey, including how they developed their practice, and tips for those who want to work in international human rights law. This was followed by a Q&A session. The event was chaired by BHRC’s Co-Vice Chair Grainne Mellon, who discussed BHRC’s work in international human rights law and how members can get involved in the work of the Committee.
