In Conversation with Mary Lawlor | Keynote & Panel Discussion

The Bar Human Rights Committee of England & Wales (BHRC) welcomed Mary Lawlor, UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights defenders, for a very special in-person and live-streamed keynote and panel discussion event. The event took place on Tuesday 15th November 2022 at Garden Court Chambers in London, on the criminalisation of human rights defenders. Also, BHRC welcomed Mona Seif, human rights activist and sister of Egyptian-British human rights defender Alaa El Fattah; Barbora Bukovská, Senior Director for Law and Policy, Article 19; and Sierra Schraff Thomas, Strategy and Governance Advisor, Peace Brigades International UK Section. The session was moderated by Stephen Cragg KC, Chair of BHRC.
