On 27 October 2021, as part of the IBA Global Showcase 2021, BHRC Chair Schona Jolly participated in a panel event hosted by IBAHRI on law and lawyers under attack around the world.
The event was chaired by Baroness Helena Kennedy QC, Director of IBAHRI, and speakers included the UN Special Rapporteur on the independence of judges and lawyer, Diego García Sayán, UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Belarus, Anaïs Marin, and the UN Special Rapporteur on the rights to Freedom of Peaceful Assembly and of Association.
